In the communities of Sumy region, the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Helpgroup” is implementing the project “Family Art Therapy” Training and Development Center with the support of our partners – the Charitable Foundation “@razom.for.ukraine“. We thank them for their support and assistance in implementing the initiatives!
Thus, our team visited the Family Art Therapy Center in Buryn with a monitoring mission to assess the educational process, working and learning conditions, receive suggestions for improving the center, and simply communicate with the staff.
Family Art Therapy is a group and individual session with a psychologist that includes drawing, modeling, constructing, watching movies in English with an interpreter, etc. The classes are aimed not only at restoring and building healthy family relationships and family traditions, but also at enabling internally displaced persons to share and discuss the problems that have arisen as a result of the war.
The program is designed for 1,000 people: 500 children and 500 parents. Classes last up to 1.5 hours, and there are 4 such classes per day.
